Banner Competition Brings Pioneer Pride

With the Halloween theme hanging over the heads of the 12 groups competing in Homecoming events (three organizations decided not to field Homecoming candidates), we saw a lot of different designs.  Check out the full gallery below and let us know which banner you thought was best!

Homecoming Advertising in Full Swing

With Homecoming kicking off on Monday, advertising on campus is in full swing.  This post is full of all of the various flyers I’ve seen around campus promoting the different candidates for Homecoming King and Queen.

New this year, we’re seeing one candidate using a lot of “viral videos” to try and drum up support for their candidate.  Blake Johnson’s videos include Elmo and many other pop culture spoofs.  I’ve included two of the four below the images.

The excitement has been building, and now the curtains can come down…here are your Homecoming candidates for 2010.  Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by last name, King candidates first, then Queen candidates.

Rock-A-Day: Delta Upsilon New Member Rock

The new members of Delta Upsilon’s colonization attempt decided to follow the Alpha Xi Delta’s idea, and painted the rock with their initials.  DU was granted Interest Group status at last week’s Interfraternity Council meeting.
